Overview
KS-Chess brings real chess games into your 1904 world. A player sets the board down on a table, a stump or the ground, then invites an opponent through the ALT menu: a friendly game, a money game, or a match against the three-level computer. Saloons, camps and porches become places to meet and wager.
The board and pieces are base-game models, so there is nothing to stream. The server validates every move, keeps stakes in escrow in the database and settles interrupted games on restart. Players sit on the chair of their colour, a character plays the computer’s moves, and the interface follows Red Dead’s native style.

Usable chessboard item: free placement with a ghost preview, slope, corner and obstacle checks, two boards per character kept across restarts
Full rules: castling
En passant, promotion, checkmate, stalemate, automatic draws by threefold repetition, 50-move rule and insufficient material
Money games ($5 to $100) with SQL escrow: the winner takes both stakes, a draw or cancellation refunds each player
Easy, medium or hard computer opponent, played by a seated character, with move search spread out on the server
