Legal notice

Privacy policy (GDPR)

This policy explains what personal data KEOPS Studios processes through this site, for what purposes, and what your rights are, in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Data controller

KEOPS Studios (see site publisher above) is the controller for the personal data collected through this site. For any question or request about your data, you can contact us via our Discord server.

What data, and why

Discord account (ID, username, avatar): used only if you sign in to leave a review. Your identity is checked with Discord, then the review is stored on our server until the team reviews it. Legal basis: your consent. Retention: as long as the review is published; a rejected review is deleted after 6 months; deletion on request at any time.
Email address (newsletter sign-up): stored on our server (hosted by OVH in France) together with the date of your consent, and used only to send you the KEOPS Studios newsletter. Legal basis: your consent. Retention: until you unsubscribe; you can ask for it to be deleted at any time.
Shopping cart (stored in your browser, localStorage): necessary for the site to function (remembering your cart). Legal basis: legitimate interest / technical necessity — no consent required. Retention: local to your browser, until manually cleared or cache is emptied.
Light/dark display preference (localStorage): strictly necessary for usability, no consent required.
Cookies set by YouTube (Google) when the ambient audio player or a product video loads: only after your explicit consent (consent banner or clicking to load/play). Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time (see "Manage cookies" below).
Payment and order data: fully handled by Tebex Limited, our official reseller (Merchant of Record) — KEOPS Studios never has access to your payment details. See Tebex's privacy policy.
Admin area session cookie: only for KEOPS Studios team members who sign in to manage the site. Strictly necessary, no consent required.

Recipients and sub-processors

Depending on the features you use, your data may be shared with: Tebex Limited (sales and payment, United Kingdom), Discord Inc. (sign-in for reviews, United States), Google/YouTube (embedded video and audio player, United States, only after consent), and OVH SAS (site hosting, France). Some of these providers may process data outside the European Union; where that happens, they rely on safeguards recognized under the GDPR (standard contractual clauses or equivalent).

Retention period

Data stored in your browser (cart, theme, cookie consent) stays on your device until manually cleared. Reviews posted with your Discord account are kept as long as they remain displayed on the site. Data related to your purchases is retained by Tebex under its own policy.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to, and port your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us via our Discord server. You can also file a complaint with your national data protection authority (in France, the CNIL at cnil.fr) if you believe your rights are not respected.

Cookies and trackers

This site does not use advertising cookies or audience-analytics tools. The only non-essential tracker comes from the embedded YouTube players (ambient audio player and product videos), loaded only after your explicit consent. You can change your choice at any time.
